Trauma is not always something you can “just move on from.” It can stay with you in the way you react, the way you trust, the way you protect yourself, and the way you see yourself.
You may find yourself overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, feeling on edge, or questioning whether what happened was really “bad enough” to still affect you. You may look like you are functioning well on the outside, while inside you feel anxious, disconnected, guarded, or exhausted from carrying so much.
Trauma therapy can support healing from childhood trauma, adult trauma, sexual trauma, emotional abuse, attachment wounds, betrayal, and painful relationship experiences.
The goal is not to blame the past or stay stuck in it. The goal is to understand how your experiences shaped the way you learned to survive, protect yourself, connect, and cope.
In therapy, we work toward helping you feel safer in your body, more grounded in your emotions, and more connected to your own voice, needs, and sense of self.
